Citizens Bank has selected the Meals on Wheels Foundation of Western New York as the recipient of a $20,000 grant through its “Citizens Helping Citizens” Employee Voting Initiative. More than 4,000 Citizens Bank employees voted for their choice of community organizations when deciding recipients for this year’s grants.
The grant will help to serve individuals using Meals on Wheels for Western New York programs under the Title XX program – assisting disabled and low income clients under 60 years of age. Many of those eligible for Title XX services suffer from debilitating medical conditions and have little family support. In 2016, Meals on Wheels for WNY provided 12,690 meals to 47 clients under this program.
Thank you to everyone at Citizens Bank for helping us feed our homebound elderly and disabled neighbors in Erie County!
