MOW RECEIVES AWARD FROM BUFFALO ACADEMY OF THE SACRED HEART

On November 5, Meals on Wheels for WNY was recognized with the 2015 Living the Spirit Award from the Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart. The award is presented annually to an individual or organization that has “chosen to use their God-given talents in outstanding service to others, following the tradition of St. Francis and St. Clare.”

“We are honored to receive this special award that recognizes our organization’s dedication to nourishing and enriching lives of those in our community through food and a friendly visit,” Tara A. Ellis, President and CEO, Meals on Wheels for WNY, said. “Our employees and volunteers personally embrace the service they bring to our community members, but to receive outside recognition is humbling.”
