This year’s Plate Expectations is brand new! We’ve completely re-imagined our signature fundraising event, giving you an opportunity to visit a unique WNY historic location while supporting Meals on Wheels.
This year’s casual indoor-outdoor event will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Silo City. With its grain elevators, WNY used to feed the world. We feed WNY!
The event will include food, select drinks, music, silent and live auctions and games such as the balloon pop. As well, free tours of the Silo City site will be offered courtesy of Explore Buffalo.
This re-imagined event promises to be a unique look at one of Buffalo’s treasures. Ted Walsh, President and Chief Operating Officer of Walsh Duffield Insurance Company, will be honorary chair of the event and we will once again be presenting community awards to key partners during a short program.
Save the date now and plan to enjoy a unique piece of Buffalo’s history while supporting Meals on Wheels’ mission of providing food and friendship to the homebound seniors and disabled individuals in our community.
